Rigby (or “Bibby” as Penny calls him) became a part of our family in December of 2010. He came to us at 4 months old scared and skinny. I had to drag him to take him on walks and house train him from day one. He was afraid of strangers (men in particular) and having visitors (to him) meant the world was ending. 7 Months later I can proudly say that he is fully house broken (except for some reason has accidents when in “strange” places). We can have friends over and he will go lay down and take a nap as opposed to being terrified of them. And he now wants to drag ME when we go for walks. He is still a skinny boy but he’s gained a few pounds since he came to us.
Rigby and Penny have a special relationship. He can’t stand to hear her cry and gets very antsy when she does like he wants to do something but doesn’t know what. He likes to lay in her bed in the morning and wake her up with wet dog kisses. Sometimes Penny loses patience with him (like when he steals a toy or lays on the blanket she is trying to drag around the house). She will yell, “NO BIBBY! THAT’S ENOUGH!” but most of the time she enjoys leading him around the house, sneaking him food from the table and giving him hugs. “Awwww, that’sa good boy, Bibby!” she’ll say.
And he is a good boy. Most of the time. When he’s not peeing on boats or eating dirty diapers (*gag*).
Rigby’s Deets:
Breed: Beagle (AKC, Purebred)

Likes: bones, pig ears, swimming, camping, cuddling in bed, table scraps & Penny

The Name: Yup, Rigby was named after a Beatles song. Who doesn’t love Eleanor Rigby?
